"A process of rapid economic integration driven by the liberalisation of trade, investment and capital flows and by rapid technological change."
- definition by OXFAM

"It affects the clothes we wear, the music we listen too, the food we eat, the jobs we do and the environment we live in."
- definition by OXFAM

"Before you finish eating your breakfast this morning, you've depended on half the world.... We aren't going to have peace on earth until we recognise this basic fact." - Martin Luther King

"Let ours be a time remembered for the awakening of a new reverence for life, the firm resolve to achieve sustainability, the quickening of the struggle for justice and peace, and the joyful celebration of life." - From the Earth Charter

"The only path that promises success is to embrace globalisation and become an integral part of the engine of global growth. It may not be easy, but it is the only way to support high-quality, long-term growth and unleash the innovative talents and energies of nations’ entrepreneurs on an international scale. Globalisation is an enormously powerful driver of growth. It is a challenge to be met, not a threat to be avoided - and least of all a weapon to be honed." - E@syVG's Vichar: World Connected

there is a video clip on the issue of defending globalisation(politics).

sis coming to us. People in the world are behaving more and more similar. You can find people drink Coke cola and eat McDonald in Beijing, in Tokyo, in Singapore, in London or somewhere south Africa just as same as American do in New York. However, is it really good and beneficial for all? Or is it just a method that first worlders use to occupy the third worlders? when u look at a map, all the nations just spread out in front of u, but it does not mean they are equal. The globalisation is just a process that the cultures and traditions of the powerful state spread out to the relatively weaker states. It is not fair. American allow others to follow them for their own convenience. On the other side, the poor are losing their own cultures and identities. Just as it says, fish can't see the water, it is not easy for people to realise the negative effect of globalisation.
