"A process of rapid economic integration driven by the liberalisation of trade, investment and capital flows and by rapid technological change."
- definition by OXFAM

"It affects the clothes we wear, the music we listen too, the food we eat, the jobs we do and the environment we live in."
- definition by OXFAM

"Before you finish eating your breakfast this morning, you've depended on half the world.... We aren't going to have peace on earth until we recognise this basic fact." - Martin Luther King

"Let ours be a time remembered for the awakening of a new reverence for life, the firm resolve to achieve sustainability, the quickening of the struggle for justice and peace, and the joyful celebration of life." - From the Earth Charter

"The only path that promises success is to embrace globalisation and become an integral part of the engine of global growth. It may not be easy, but it is the only way to support high-quality, long-term growth and unleash the innovative talents and energies of nations’ entrepreneurs on an international scale. Globalisation is an enormously powerful driver of growth. It is a challenge to be met, not a threat to be avoided - and least of all a weapon to be honed." - E@syVG's Vichar: World Connected

Globalisation of Technology

Hi! I am the iphone. I represent the most advanced and latest telecommunication technology up to date. I was released in the United States on 29th June 2007. As Americans queue up to get me at Apple stores, people all around the world wait for the release of me in their respective countries! Some even come from afar to the States so as to get their hands on me. I represent the latest technology which is wanted all around the world. The Asians can’t wait to get their hands on me but they will have to wait a year. In no time, everyone around the whole world will be using me, therefore I am a globalised technology. Mr Steve Jobs, the owner of my creator company is very proud of me as sales have been impressive the minute I was released all around the world. Mr Steve Jobs says I have been the most impressive, overtaking sales of my brothers and cousins that include the Ipod nano, Imac computer and the ipod video. He believes the goal of introducing me to the entire world is on course to be fulfilled. It is almost everyone’s dream to have me in their pockets, assisting them in their daily lives.

LG KE850
SAMSUNG F700 Ultra Slim Phone

Competitors have come in many variations including my arch enemies, the Samsung F700 ultra slim phone and the LG KE850. Other companies have tried to make phones similar to me to challenge in the market as they want to match up to my impressive introduction to this global technological market.

I am the iphone. I am here there everywhere. Just walk down a street you will see a couple of me, and in the few months down the road, I will probably be in your pocket.
